chaff and the like

my mare is currently fed Dengie Alpha a lite as its non heating now im having real trouble getting it as we are only a small island and if there is not enough demand for it. so can i replace it with spillers happy hoof? its really popular here and there should always be a supply. i havnt checked it out but believe its non heating. i feed a chaff all year round and in summer she has H&P nuts and in winter build up cubes.

Why not phone Dengies and Spillers and see what they both say about it. Thats what I would do. Or at least look up the nutritional information and feeding quantitiy of both to compare.

Happy hoof is suitable for laminitics, so definatley not heating, and doesnt add weight either.

Happy Hoof is non heating, the starch levels are very low (4% i believe)
