chaff - can I be feeding something better

My horse is normally in medium work and is fed speedi beet, spillers energy mix, chaff and 2 nets a day of haylege.

I am wondering if I can feed him something better than chaff , he is holding his weight nicely and looks well, but with all the different types of chaff I am unsure what I can be using, to ensure maxium health.

Any thoughts would be great.

If you look on here http://www.dengie.com/pages/products/alfa-a-and-hi-fi-ranges.php it will give you an idea as to what you should be feeding bearing in mind your horses workload and current condition, if he is a good doer etc.

Always think that bog standard chaff is a waste- best to leave it out or feed an alfalfa based chaff instead.
