Mine will be going on Chaff to slow his eating habits down. He is quite greedy when it comes to his feed so spoke to Saracen and they have suggested this and changing to Releve to help with him.

Just be careful with Releve. I had one here who choked every time he had it - I soaked a scoop just to see what happened, and it swelled to more than twice the size. Not sure if that's why he choked, but it did seem a bit too much of a coincidence. I really like Releve, but I make sure it has a good soaking before I feed it

For my horses now, no its not needed, but as a hay replacer for fatties or the toothily challenged or as a way to slow down a super greedy eater it is useful.

For horses on a token feed to keep them happy I find a blob of speedibeet does the same job, and since all I really feed these days is speedibeet and linseed it is also convenient for me to use that.

Yeh I heard a few people have mentioned that. If it becomes a bit of an issue I will soak it. Have spoken to Saracen and they said it will only lose the blackcurrant flavour if I do that. So have that option. But thank you for mentioning :)
