My horse is currently undergoing rehab and cannot be ridden. She is field sound/ fine with groundwork.
After a period of feeling quite down, I am feeling more positive and would like to have something to focus on/ aim for. We are going to do some in hand work with a trainer but it would be great to sign up to one if these ‘challenges’ and aim for a certain amount of miles, the question is do any if them allow ‘in hand’ type’ hacks?
Any suggestions welcome!

This thread has really cheered me up immensely!
I am nursing a fractured pelvis after being thrown 'violently' onto baked clay by my suspected PSSM2 4 year old Connie. I have been feeling devastated knowing I probably would not ever dare to ride her again - and she is so young.
This thread has given me potential goals - and she will have something to do that we will both enjoy.
A heart felt thank you to OP and posters!!

Look at Alternative Equine Club on FB. Two good challenges going on at the moment. you can join in at any time and catch up easily.

The one pole challenge is a good exercise. If you google it you'll get more in-depth info but it's essentially getting your horse to straddle a pole lengthwise (so both left feet one side of the pole and both right the other). It's harder than it looks!

Thank you all so much! I’ve booked to do an agility class and am going to check out some of the other suggestions as well, I find it much easier to motivate myself and horse if theres something to aim for or a bit of structure in place :)
