Hello,

I am looking for any ideas to track down my horses parentage. After speaking to his old owners, I have found out that he was born in Huddersfield in 1992, his dam was an Irish Draught and his Sire was an American Racehorse (and a good one apparently) I don't have any names.

He was well bred and wanted, old owner passed on a pack when she sold him with photos, family tree and photos of him in the womb and being born! However these have been lost through various owners.

Is there really anyway of finding out his history?

He was passported as Charles (now King Charles) but was also known as Champagne Charlie.
He is 16.2hh Chestnut, with a white star, white rear sock and odd white and black patches, including a 'V' on his off fore.
He apparantly looks the spitting image of his father.

Any help, or ideas appreciated. anyone know of anyone who breeds similar horses in Huddersfield?
