Has anyone been to the Champs tour yet? I went last night to Gleneagles and have mixed feelings. I think geoff and oliver have a great sense of humour and when they were in the ring, it was awesome, however, did anyone else feel that the interval was too long?

I was also sitting near the projector screen and couldn't see anything during the tribute to Its Otto. during the long interval we moved to the other end of the arena and I couldn't believe they started with video clips of each other, did anyone else feel this was just a bit of 'filler'?

I dragged my non horsey husband along who said that he had never been anywhere which pushed sponsors so much and he commented that when oliver showed off the point two body protector (which i think is fab), geoff commented that it was a brilliant invention yet both of them didn't wear it at all during the performance.

I left feeling that it had been informative and that they have brilliatn personalities but that it would also have had a lot more content.

Am I being picky?

I'm going on Saturday so will reserve judgement, but will bear in mind the tip about screen. I was planning to get a hot drink during interval as suspect it will be a bit chilly in the arena so probably would need 40 minutes to queue

According to the website it finishes at 10.45, I think I may have to leave before then, am I going to miss anything wonderful in the last half hour or so?

Hey i was at gleneagles last night too!! in the stands where the lighthouse jump was! Yea i thought both were awesome, oli more so than geoff!
THink the interval was long but i wonder if it had anything to do with the autorgraphs etc?
Think the bit with the point 2 jacket was just to show the safety value, more for xc jumps. but i noticed there was 2 xc jumps nethier of them jumped?!!?
I really had a blast and oli was very nice, said he liked the look of my horse and said colour was everything, hes grey!

We were at Gleneagles last night as well, were right in the middle of the seating in the arena so had to dodge peoples heads to see anything.
We did think the interval was long but agree with Mazziek think that was to do with the length of the queue for autographs.
I wasted a bit of the interval chatting to a friend who was on the Devoucoux stand.
Didn't like seeing Geoff jump the horse in the opening in draw reins.

Hi murphysminder

The last section is much better than the first. They did finish at 10.45 but the secret to getting a hot drink is to go when the Its Otto tribute is on, Geoff does do a voice over it and as we couldn't see I can't comment on the screen, we did get out tea in about 3 mins!

I agree about geoff with the draw reins, it was a bit weird riding one horse for the opening sequence and then never riding it again for the evening. what a jump the last horse of his has though!

I attended the tour last night at Bishop Burton College. East Yorkshire.

I must say I have never laughed so much in a long time. I found both Geoff and Oliver very entertaining as well as informative. Four hours flew by.

I have attended demonstrations before but they have always been serious and they always seem to have experienced horses, which just makes it frustrating when you get home and your horse will not do what you ask. I think it was fantastic that they had youngsters who did play up and we got to see how they deal with them.

I would recommend this show to everyone and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
