Hello!
I vanished again...
Things have really been up and down.
We lost 3 horses at the yard this month, so that has been horrendous. I have seen it before, but never cleaned up
not nice.
My OH and I were also involved in a nasty car accident. Someone on the other side of the road had their full beam headlights on and it dazzled both of us...we didn't see the tree that they were trying to warn us about and crashed straight through it! The car is probably a write-off, but at least the two of us are unharmed! A miracle really, given the state of the car and the size of the fallen tree!!
Ned is also a little off again. He's fine to walk in-hand which I have been doing, but something about him seems "off". I figured I'd give him until New Years off and see what he looks like and re-evaluate then. Other than that he's doing well! Annoyingly I clipped him just before, so he's rugged :\ if he wasn't going to be in work, I was hoping to leave the rug off for a little longer. Oh well!
Since I'm not doing much with Ned, I have taken on a little project, owned by the YO! He's an adorable little Bog pony called Ghillie!
He's about 5yrs old and the cutest thing, reminds me of that little Shetland, but actually very well behaved! I've long lined him, lunged him over a tiny jump, walked him all over the place and we've even been over the scary bridge and done some bombproofing! He's a gem
Working at the yard is still going very well, YO is lovely and so are all the liveries, I can't believe I found a place like it!!
It wouldn't be a real Chan thread without a few pictures
Ghillie says, hello!!
Standing impeccably well to be clipped. I used noisy clippers with a cord, which I haven't done for years!
Also did a little bombproofing with Ned. I really don't think he's bothered anymore!
