Hey,

This is Chance, a dog we recently adopted from a resuce centre who has unfortunately had to go back. We were told that he was a Staffie, but we think he may have been a cross just wondering your thoughts on this. He was quite tall and long legged for a Staffie and also weighed 17kgs and was still a bit underweight. Would like to know your thoughts. Here are his pics;

Sorry havent got any from the side. Sorry they are massive dont know how to resize first time i've ever posted pictures.

Unfortunately too many people let their dogs be mithered by children and then wonder why the dogs don't like kids. If I ever have children and dogs the dogs will always get lots of time to chill by themselves without awful (albeit ignorant) child pulling their ears and tails.

I'm not an expert on the breed, but looks like staffie to me. If he's leggy, that wouldn't necessarily mean he's not a purebred ....I see lots of Westies, for example, with legs like Elle MacPherson! I've on my books a really TALL Scottish Terrier, plenty of Yorkies that are the size of Border Terriers. Doesn't mean they are correct according to breed standard...but still purebreds. ;)

I passed a couple of lads with what looked like a very leggy staffy this week, He was a beautiful fawn colour and I asked them if he was full staff - They said he was an American (blue) Staffy - could be what Chance is. Hope he finds a sympathetic home :)

Heard that one before Mollichop :p

As P&P says, not every purebred is textbook (says the owner of a midget poodle-type GSD and her brother the giant wolfy-giraffe-type-thing)
