How soon do you need him collected, there will be a solution to this.
My OH tows and we have two tow cars, OH has flu and both cars have problems and we love an adventure, it would need to be a two day event though
I need my rather snotty OH fit to fix the cars, I will pm you in the next few days to try and sort something, he has just driven to Southampton and back, so long hauls aren't a problem for him.

They are wonderful transporters - reasonable price with gorgeous lorries
It takes all of the stress away. Honestly give them a call - they did East Sussex to Cumbria for £250+vat for me It would have cost me at least that in diesel if I had done it myself.
We are in Cornwall an sold our horse to someone in Newcastle. He was collected by horse transporter Barry Capstick in a nice little 2 horse van, single load. He took him to his base in Gloucester where he had a days rest and then went the rest of the way the day after. I'm pretty sure they travel all over the uk and do a lot of racehorse transporting. Highly recommend them.
Contact some of the big horse transport firms (see back of H&H) and find out about getting him collected as part of a shared load.
I did this with a young horse coming back from Germany, he was on a massive transporter that had 11 stalls and basically the transporter went through the UK dropping off horses at different destinations.
It cost me £400 from Germany - so I'd expect a trip from Suffolk to be much cheaper.
