Is it possible that a field which has been over-grazed and quite boggy can be transformed in time for summer to get a decent cut of hay?

Planning on separating the field off early/mid march and harrowing and rolling it when its drier weather and then letting it totally rest..........do you think theres a little chance of some hay?
Any tips?

I would say yes, but you should really take the horses off it now. Once the field is dry then you can harrow, roll and fertilise. The best time to fertilise is in late march/early april and providing we have a decent summer you should get a crop of hay. How decent will depend on how damaged your paddock is.

I'd say as long as they are off by Mid to late March that should be fine. Weather dependent etc of course.

I'd be wary about fertilizing, choose one carefully to avoid affecting the balance of the grazing and the hay if you do need to fertilize at all that is.
