Change of ownership

Hi! We’ve just bought home our 1st horse. She’s a TB brood mare registered with Weatherbys. I just want to check i understand the process right!

I’ve paid to change the details and done it online.
Do I now need to send the passport to the issuing authority which was Ireland or the authority where she’s been living (and still living) which is UK?

Does this automatically change the microchip details or do I do this separately?

Send it to Weatherbys UK! I did the same earlier in the year. It’s really easy.

They will update the microchip on the equine register, or should do! You might want to also inform the microchip company if you have a record of who it is x

Take photos of all the key pages before you pop it in the post, just in case it gets lost (rare but it can happen)

I would also send it recorded delivery so that its signed for.

I am surprised you have people trying to help you, new horse photos are mandatory before asking or receiving help.
