changed feeding 2 weeks ago

and my 6yo has grown!!! does this happen? i feel bad like ive not been feeding him properly before!?

Lol what's it changed from and to? Has he been out on grass last two weeks from being kept in? They can have a spring growth spurt too and at 6 not uncommon how much has he grown ?

from fast fibre and molass free chaff and haylage to fast fibre, molass free chaff, pro hoof and topspec cool balancer and haylage! been out at day and in at night all winter and still the same.

hes at least an inch bigger i was too scared to measure properly!! a wee bit worries as has happened quite quickly!?

Are u sure he hasn't just put on a little weight they can look bigger if they round up maybe he's just carrying himself a little btter or the topspec may have given him some needed vitamins etc. And he's feeling better. Maybe worth measuring him for ur peace of mind make sure he's gone up lol. Is it a bad thing if he's gone up a little ?

not put weight on, i thought hed lost a wee bit actually

i have always had this worry about him.growing too quickly and wrecking his joints!
not sure if its a bad thing or not he'll be too big for a small hunter if he keeps going lol suppose thers nothing i can do just worried about hia joints as i said

I looked at my forester today and thought he's grown too. He's only 3 though so it's possible, but I've also just changed part of his feed....he's gone from Spillers cool mix to a Spillers trial feed and he looks like he's shot up by 2-3 inches!
