I keep my horse and mini Shetland at home. I need to move to a new house, so will have no land. I am thinking put my horse on part livery and sadly selling my mini.

Is £500 realistic for part livery in the midlands? How do I help mini find the best possible home (need to sell not loan)? Any tips on getting the timing to work so neither is left alone? Have never had a horse in part livery what do I need to think about?

(Currently house hunting, but trying to think of all the things I need to sort out)

Mini is a Shetland, but is a gelding. Facebook would be my normal choice, but I think they’ve banned all ads :(.
Try breed society?
I do feel for you as it's very limited to sell, unless you are going on the likes of Horsequest etc, which leaves DD and similar.
Hope you can find him a good home by word of mouth? Try also local RC and PC as usually they have newsletters, if he is a good companion, healthy and happy to stay on own, you shouldn't have trouble in homing him x

Thank you - that’s encouraging. He’s a lovely pony to own, sweet, no health issues, can be left, respects electric fence and can be ridden (although he’s a bit out of practice). Word of mouth sounds a good plan.
