Hi everyone,

Our haylage just ran out (we had made some small bales from the fields this summer) and now have moved on to hay!

We have got really good quality hay but what I was wondering is quantity.

I was feeding about 3 sections night and 2 in the morning (sorry dont weigh I am a bad mother

Do I need to feed the same amount?
One horse I am trying to put weight on and he got two full haynets a night but apart from him the others are all on what I said!

Thanks in advance,

Nat

I presume it was working out approx Ad Lib with the hayledge? If so, would just give them as much as they can manage a night, would be about 3/4 sections from experience.....

thanks the problem is with my lot you could honestly put a bale in a night and they would have it all gone!

No matter what I feed there isnt a trace in the morning!

Will go with the 3/4 sections though thanks
