I have just bought a new horse, and really cant bear the name. He is young and only been called it for a matter of weeks. I have chosen something similar to call him...but just wondering what to do about the passport.

His passport has his original name on the front of it. I hope to keep him for life...but of course you can never say never....so if I call him something other than what is on his passport will it cause a problem when I come to sell him?

Is it possible to change his name on it? If so how do I go about it?

Thanks!

Hi, not sure about changing name on passport.

You would however, be amazed at the amount of horses called by something other than what's on their passport. I.e Temple Flash Harry was known as Bailey.

Casanova known as Jet. So no, it doesn't cause issues when selling. xx

You can call your horse whatever you want to, but to change it officially you need to go through your passport issuing organisation, and they usually charge to make changes like that :)
