so my new horse has a saddle with really big knee rolls , and being long in the leg and liking to ride short my knee comes off the front and it is uncomfortable because of the knee rolls. I was wondering if a saddler would be able to modify them to make them smaller or cut the bottom part off to have a small part at the top, allowing me to ride shorter but still have support. oh also my saddle does not have the Velcro parts where you can swap blocks.

Thanks Immy x

Yes they can. I did a DIY job on one GP saddle which had calf blocks behind the leg which were in the way for flatwork. On unpicking the stitching I found they were foam blocks wrapped in leather, glued and stitched in place. I see no reason why a saddler couldn't make you up some different ones to replace your own and fit them on for you.

I posted about changing knee rolls the other day. Saddlers is having my saddle tomorrow to remove my knee rolls and replace with Velcro and adjustable knee rolls for not a huge amount of money.
