changing microchip details

Numpty here thought when you change passport it automatically changes microchip.... i know i'm special. Vet scanned my boy and his chip details have been given, she said to writie to anibase with my name, address and a £6 fee, is this all i have to do or is there a form to fill in like for passport changes? if so where do i find it?

Normally when animals are microchipped, you should have received some paperwork from the microchip company, this would normally include a form to change name and adddress or other details, you just need to fill this in and send off to them with the admin fee.

I you don't have the form, the as your vet said, write to them explaining and enclosed the fee and you should get written confirmation in about 2-3 weeks.

Thanks roanwitch, i didnt get any paperwork. he was bought from race yard by prev owner and details were never changed so i'm trying to be responsible and swap them over now!
