we bred my kitty(fisher) and at the time when we named her it was based on Lucy's stable name (lucy Locket)(full name Staffod Locket) due to the nursery rhyme....i was 8 then and although the name suits her i do feel i've let her doen in the name department particularly as she is very well bred-dam (lucy) by Catherston Nightsafe and Kitty is by Bernwode Brokat- no offence intended but i do feel guilty that her name gives the impression that she is a common dobbin and so many other horses/ponies seem to sport these names (many of which i would not want her to be compared with). i know exactly what i would change her name to -Stafford Brokat- and exactly how i could link it to her stable name. i've competed at very low key events under this name and i am aware of the difference in espect and acknowledgement she gets for her good breeding as people recognise the names etc.
so my question is can i change her name on her passport and if not if i was to go bsja could i register her under this name???
