Hi,

I just wondered if anyone had any advice on how to change a horses passport. I've just bought a horse I had on loan who has been passported by a meat company (apparently his breeder did it to keep it cheap) and don't really want him to have this one forever!

Thanks!

You don't - once its got a passport, you cannot change it. And there is no such thing as a "meat company" providing passports. They have to be done by a PIO, some are cheaper than others.

The only exception may be if it's had a breed passport at some point, with breeding details; if you can prove its the same horse, and you can prove ownership (ie a trail of reciepts), you may be able to get original one back.
