Is it possable to get a roan TB?
although i do like the name Raspberry Ripple
I always thought it to be bad luck to change names but will admit, some names don't tend to fit the horse so to speak so does seem logical to change there name.

Genetically no - she has gotten slightly greyer in the last year though so I presume she will go grey eventually. She is registered as roan though which I thought was a bit weird...
What about calling her KT Jones? I am sure you could jazz it up maybe a near by village like Melton Katy Jones crap example but an idea.
Surely the Shear horses all had name changes and they did pretty well!
Exmoor Eventing changes their horses names!! Count on Riccardo is now called The Lion. Still has not sold
I don't think it's unlucky - I've changed 2 horses' names in the past, simply because their existing names were awful. (This is before the days of passports.) Both went better under their new names!
I think it would have to be particularly awful for me to change it, but Katy Jones is good and you could always just make it something very similar. Does the name come from something in her breeding, or is it a bit random?!
Is unlucky, and I have had the misfortune of having some with real rubbish names. Sovereign and Emerald are pretty bad, but the worst has to be the crazy pony who was called DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I shortened it to Desi and her new owners called her Daisy. Touchy is also weird but that was my sister's fault, Oh and nearly forgot we did have a pony called GOLDFISH!
Katie Jones is a brill name!
My mare's registered name (by Golden Heights) was High Heels! Eww!
I don't have a problem changing show names but i don't think i would change a horses stable name- unless it was rreeeaaallyyy bad!
Someone I know registered their horse with the BSJA as 'Snowballs' because he was white and had had the chop!
He was actually called Cloud Nine, so that was their first choice on the paperwork, 2nd choice was something similar and then they put the Snowballs as a laugh thinking that would give the BSJA a giggle and then they'd get their 1st/2nd choice. So she was horrified to find lovely boy then registered as Snowballs! She tried to change it but BSJA were having none of it.
Snowballs produced a snigger every time his name was announced!
Personally I really like full "people" names for horses. A friend of mine when I was a kid had a very cool horse named "Tim Barker" and I suspect that started it. I also love that there is an Abdullah son named "Mr. Williams" after his breeder. So Katy Jones seems fine to me.
Lovely looking horse. As to her nose . . . now come on, you're not one of the "if its face is vertical everything's perfect" crowd! Your trainer would have a fit!
Looks perfectly fine for a young-ish horse in a strange situation being ridden quietly forward to the hand.
