Thoughts on these fine legged thoroughbreds cantering/galloping on this surface?

Madness! But I would of thought they would have put some kind of surface over the Tarmac/concrete areas?

Pretty sure having been filmed in the UK all animal welfare bases would be covered, and this would be no different from filming a proper movie regarding rubber matting on the streets etc.

As far as i was aware it was real? Not sure if there is a surface on the road though?

It doesn't look like there is a surface down in the pictures but it doesn't sound like they actually raced so was probably only a few canter strides to get the film shots. They are saying the horses were provided from a stunt yard and even Joey from war horse was there.
