I found it very sad that the racing conditions in Hong Kong means that a horse only LASTS for 4 seasons because their legs break down, the man said.. So at around 6 they are finished, what then ? PTS if they have broken down. A very poor life for such beautiful animals. I was quite upset by it.

It was the haynets on the floor right behind their back legs that worried me!

Yeah I thought the same when the horse didn't load first time and nearly ended up tangled up in the haynets just a few feet away!

Was also slightly concerned at how easily they seemed to put a lame horse on a 12 hour flight - am hoping more inspection was done of it than we saw!

All in all though very interesting and I am forever amazed at how these animals cope in such situations, going from one long confined journey to another and being so unfazed,they are amazing!!

Agreed, it's another sad fact of life when that sort of money is involved people tend to conviently forget the animals life long well being. It's a very short busy life for them without any reward or enjoyment from the looks of things. It was extreamly interesting but I was saddened by it.
