chapped lips?

does anyone else get them?

mine are really bad at the moment with all this cold weather

have been using blistex but it needs re-applying every 10 lips as my lips are so cracked and dry

any reccomendations for lip balm?

no recommedations - but mine are the same - very sore and cracked - feel awful!

Buy some nivea lip care.

I put it on once or twice a day and my lips are fine all year round!!!

I use plain Chapstick, the one with the black pattern on it. Nivea lipbalm is quite nice too. I am obsessed with it and use it all the time, even carry it when riding for more than 30 mins!

I get that too. I keep a beeswax peppermint flavour lip balm in the car and use it when I get to the yard and when I leave - it's really good

I imagine the Nivea one would be good as well, as they do really nice handcream

I have lip balms/chap sticks everywhere - on my desk at work, in my handbag, in my car, in my stable jackets (about 4 of them) and I never suffer with dry lips!!!

Just make sure it's not one with lanolin in it, makes them 10x worse

I can't use Blisteze, it just makes the skin peel away

This is gonna sound strange but I use lansinoh cream on my lips. Its for womens nipples when they are breastfeeding

its just lanolin but works brilliantly.
BTW it does say on the packet that it can be used for other areas

I have lispsalve everywhere, but unfortunatly most of them end up in the washing mashine.... some do survive.... the one I've using most at the moment is Vasaline: Lip Therapy which is good for the windy/rainy exmoorish weather

I use Eve Lom Kiss Mix, its expensive but very worth while and lasts ages, have one at work, in my bag and in the car.
Luckily never had to buy one my sis gets me them for birthday and Christmas.

I love the Blisteze products. Suffer really badly from chapped lips if I don't use it. Brilliant stuff.

I use Burt's Bees which is good, or failing that, Vaseline with Aloe Vera.

but worse when i peel the dry layers off

the blistex i used is nearly done, so will invest right away! lol

amd i think i have some lipIce somewhere that is good, just a matter of finding it in my hovel

I use Carmex - tingles a bit if your lips are cracked but works a treat and you don't have to keep reapplying. It comes in a tube or a little pot - available in supermarkets and chemists.

Its the models and make up artist lip salve of choice apparently....have my fingers crossed for a transformation one of these days!

Burts bees is great! But if you want a cheaper alternative then vasoline. Burts bees hand salve is fab for dry and chapped hands!

i cant use anything with lanolin in it as im allergic so its a pain to find decent ones

Elizabeth Arden's 8-Hour Cream although more of a paste you can get it in a squeezy tube or lipstick style. Its not the cheapest but it is by far the best. I use nothing else, use it on my kids when they have sores on their lips/nose. It is what it says put it on at night and 8hrs later i.e morning all lips are cured! Get from Boots, Debenhams, Dingles

i just use normal vaseline lol, trouble is when your fingers are muddy and you put it on your lips you get muddy lips!! :S
