I like to think of myself as being fairly intelligent but I seem to be having problems understanding the CHAPs application forms. I have tried to call several times but they are either busy or you get the quickest recording i have ever heard listing their opening times. Despite listening to it over and over, I cannot understand what they say except they are closed!

If anyone has successfully completed these forms could they please let me know and perhaps answer a couple of questions.

Thank you in advance

Id also be interested to know,
I have filled mine out and not too sure weather its right either? Not sent it off yet :/ just incase its wrong too :(
Which parts are you strugling with?

Oh, mine is the passport one only im not applying for membership, forgot to add

My main query is whether or not I'm filling the right forms in.

I need to register a pony (nieces pony) who already has a passport.

imho they are rude, unhelpful and slow - that is if you can ever get anyone to answer the phone  and you are right, the forms do not make sense, but don't tell them that (when you eventually get to speak to someone) or it will never be dealt with :D

Thanks Rowreach, I was beginning to work that out and would probably have told them when I got through. Good job you told me otherwise it would never have been dealt with.

Why have they got such a chip on their shoulders? Surely its in their interest to get as many registrations as possible

We do just need to send passport in for overstamping - I did manage to get that bit.

I might as well post my main q's here and maybe someone can help.

1. Do sister/niece have to join before they can register pony?

2. Do we need a height ceritificate?

3. Should we get a CHAPS qualifier card?

if your doing an over stamping you need to pay for that, the new members joing fee and your yearly joining fee. you can do every thing at the same time.. dont for get you also need to send a side on piccie of pony.

height cert will depend on classes etc.

may aswell get a chaps card.. you never know!
