charge for turning out

Trying to work out some 'assisted' diy livery rates, so could you let me know what you get charged for turning out and/or bringing in.

Seems to vary, from £1 to £2.50 (yikes!!. The cheaper one was on a lovely working farm and the more expensive was on a posher competition yard. Also, depends what they do - some include rug changing, picking feet out, putting hay and feed in, topping up water etc, others literally bung them in the stable. Hope that helps! I currently pay £1.50 and my kind lady does the lot! Fab!
 
Yikes you guys are lucky.

Where I livery they charge a shocking £4 ! They sometimes bring in 2 together and charge each owner £4. Not a bad rate for a 5 minute job. Not sure if they take rugs off etc, as never needed the service, but they definitely dont pick out feet.

My yard charges £1 for turn out/bring in. I'm more than happy to pay that and definitley reasonable. Most people on the yard seem to have one or the other so they must all think it's reasonable too.

My yard charges £1 for turnout and £1 for bring in, to include rug changes if necessary. But horses are fed their brekkers and given a morning haynet before t/o for free so I think it's a very modest charge. I honestly think our hard working YO should bring in a small surcharge for late requests such as frantic phone calls an hour AFTER all the other horses have been turned out. But she's too kind and won't do this!!!!!!
 
Gosh, £4 is extortionate, unless the paddocks were miles away from the stable block!

Whenever I had to pay extra for turn out / bring in (only twice) it was a monthly fee and it was £10 a month in one place, and £15 a month in the other place, to be paid directly to the groom.
 
My old yard used to charge £2.50 to bring in and literally chucked horses in the stable. The cheeky thing was, YO said horses had to come in before it got dark otherwise she'd bring in and charge. So me and my friend would get to yard before dark, and they were already in!! She kept bringing them in earlier and earlier until it got to 1.30pm!
We left that yard!!

My YO now does it for free!
 
Our groom charges £1 turn out or bring in. If you want a rug change or boots off etc then there is a small fee on top. I think it's reasonable, if you work out how many she can do in an hour she is only on minimum wage

I would think for peace of mind, paying someone to bring your horse in, if you can't is fine. I think £2-£3 is a good price unless the horse is a git. I bring some horses in for people on our yard, also turn some out.
I would be more than happy if I couldn't be there, to pay a responsible person to turn my two out.
I do draw the line however, if a horse is a pain to catch or is rude, ie bites, kicks etc then the owners can get on with it!

£1 each way if more than 24 hours notice, an extra 50p (each way)if less than 24 hours notice is given. Rug changes included
 
How many people would want a £1 for this ....2 rugs off,2 rugs on,4 brushing boots,2 over reach boots and then 100m walk to the field..oh and the horse is a nob
 
I pay £1 per turnout/bring in, 50p per rug off/on (tend not to bother with rug changes though) and £7 if i want the horse mucked out/on full livery for the day. Very reasonable and dont really have to give any notice so it is very handy
