ive the chance to have someones horse for a weeks schooling when they are on holiday at my yard, i teach the teenager and know the family v well. Is £100 enough? thanks everyone.x
I used to charge between 125 and 150 and they had to supply their own food but then I did stipulate that a minimum of two weeks for schooling anyway. For holiday livery depending on how much you are riding it and also taking into account you do teach the horse as well then 100 sounds ok if its a one off.
Last year I paid a local trainer £100 per week for daily schooling and grass livery only. She normally charges £20 per schooling session so it was a bargain.
Hmm Andy only charges £100 to £120 p.wk for full livery + schooling & very rarely charge to travel horse to a show. Thats with Indoor, Outdoor & full set of show jumps inc water. Think we will have to have a rethink.
A guy near me charges £12 a day and that includes schooling and livery. He is an ex jockey with great reputation and does wonders for "problem" horses.
