Hey everyone. We are looking to organise another Think Pink day at our riding school and trying to make it bigger and better than last year. We want to smash our previous result of just over £500 for the charity so we are looking to do a few things rather than just one day. So far we're planning on running stalls throughout the Saturday where we run lessons also and get people to dress up in pink and take part in games on their ponies. I'm looking for some more stalls ideas as we'd like to have more stalls this year to raise money on - we had a raffle, bake sale, number of sweets in a jar, weight of the cake and name of teddy last year.
We're also looking to organise a Gala Evening to sell tickets to. I'm going to try and organise some more advertising to get more people coming, especially if we pull off a Gala Evening. Ideas so far for the evening is to do displays by our more experienced riders and hopefully to involve a top rider to do a display. Just wondering if anyone had some more ideas for this evening and how to make it a success - especially if anyone has connections to someone well known who would be willing to help out with a display at a more discounted price as all profits will go to charity.
If anyone has done a similar event, any other ideas would be most welcome. Other ideas floating around are running a charity sponsored ride and show but we are simply looking to make as much money for the charity as possible.
