Just a quick question (think I already know the answer), would doing pole-work clinic be detrimental to an arena ? (aside from the fact it would need harrowing afterwards) ??

TIA

It's a Charles Britton Surface. I just asked YO if we could do polework and was told it would DESTROY (in capitals) the arena. I'm sure it wouldn't but just wanted to check it wasn't me being dim.

I would like to add we are very responsible and aware of the extortionate cost of the arena. It would also be with a reputable trainer with a maximum of 4 (well behaved) horses........

Oh well, better go and look for an arena to hire then :) Thanks Tiddlypom.

CB do various surfaces, I have a CB basic sand and rubber arena, and it comes up like new each time after a whizz round with my arenamate leveller.

It sounds like you will have to look elsewhere if your YO is reluctant to allow the pole work clinic. Would love to know what this dressage specific surface is, though...

Sorry, I don't know that. The indoor school is almost black if you look at it. The outdoor one looks like sand. Both installed by CB.

I will just box up the road. It's probably more beneficial anyway as my horse needs more experience - so going out and doing a clinic will have a double benefit.
