My head size is exactly between two centimetres. For a CO hat, should I go for the smaller or the bigger?

(I'll try to find some place to try them on, of course, but just in case I can't.)

When I tried on hats with a fitter I found that my head is oval and lots of hats are round and so did not fit. In the end I could not have the hat I really wanted because it was simply the wrong shape. I ended up with a Charles Owen velvet hat.

Don't forget that hats 'give'. So you could get the smaller one and may find it will give a bit and fit nicely, whereas the larger one will always be too big. You could get the larger one and put fillers in under the lining.

You might have to choose a different brand.

Best bet is to go to a good shop who has a trained hat fitter and see what really fits.

I go with the smaller size, my skull fits perfectly now but was a smidge too tight to start with.

Previously I got the bigger size and after a few months it was a nightmare, pading it etc (with advice from trained fitter) and it still moved too much for my liking.

It you can bear it tight then I'd go with that :)
