I have had the Charles Owen Pro II as my last couple of helmets, I love the hat, however the hat cover is abysmal at staying on. I seem to loose it in strong winds, too fast a canter etc, I’m losing the will with it! Has anyone found a way to secure these better to the hat? It’s driving me mad having to go back for it so often 😂 and I surely cannot be the only one!

Putting another row of elastic on the inside if the cover may make it tighter you would have to stitch it in though, I would rather do the velcro thing tbh sounds less faff 😆

I put electrical tape on my hat cover - never come off! I'm a bit old school on use it on my cross country boots aswell to stop them getting ripped open!

Personally I wouldn't want safety pins anywhere near me when on a horse. Who knows where the pins end up when you fall of.
Double sided tape could be worth a try?

I sew / tie thick cotton thru the back of my hat cover onto the laces at the back of the hat & have a piece of gorilla tape looped over itself on the front inside the cover so haven't lost one since doing this.

I may be being silly, how on earth do you use it to attach?

Starting at the back, say middle point of the laces - wrap it around the edges of the silk, then over the peak (where it joins the silk proper), back around, ensuring the tape is as close to the edge of the silk as possible.

Oh and keep it tight! Have a look at photos of Harry Meade xc - he does something similar :)
