Still browsing on Robbies and considering treating myself

Anyone have this hat and what do you think? How do the sizes come up (I haven't tried one on

) would you reccomend etc? If not which hat would you reccomend? I'd like something ventilated preferably and I don't like hats with fixed peaks.

I would definatly try it on before you buy it as last year at HOYS I had my heart set on one. CO fitter put it on me and told me there was no way she could sell to me as it just did not fit! So I went for a Champion Vent Air Skull instead, which I really like.

I have one and love it. I had a CO hat before, but found the Pro II came up slightly larger than my other one. You're best to find a local saddlery where you can try on different sizes to see what fits.

Oh dear.. unfortunately there aren't any shops around me which stock them so I can't try one on and obviously don't want to risk keeping a hat thats a dodgy fit.... anyone else tried one?

I have one. I take a 7 1/4 in the CO John Whitaker hat (I think it's called the Wellington now) and my skull is a size 2 and is a good fit.

But would agree you must try it first...

Apparently people have either a CO shaped head or a Champion shaped head - only one brand will fit well, and you have to find out which it is

Interestingly I always wore a Champion before I had my most recent hat (still wear one for schooling/hacking) but the CO is definitely more comfortable

Thanks for your help - I'm going to buy one and return it if I have doubts over the fit. My current (but very old) hat is an old velvet CO so I think I have a CO shaped head - my local saddlery stocks champion so maybe I should try one of them to be sure!

I have the gold one! Its super comfy and really lovely fit around the back of the head and supports your neck too. Mine was a teeny weeny bit big but simply got those velcros add on things from ebay for a few quid to go on the inside. Simplez!!
