I have SJ XP - I tried on hundreds of velvet hats and this was the only one that looked semi normal. I wanted a hat that complied with safety standards that looked like a beagler! I also had to have flesh coloured straps!

I have the showjumper XP as well and love it. Navy with flesh straps!

I have a very tall head so I am worried about having a hat that sits to tall, I also ride a pony, and dont need to be looking any taller than I already am.

Im going to go and try the sj xp on at the weekend.

I am also keen on the Hampton, but nobody stocks it, so I rung them direct and they've told me to go and try the gr8 on as its the same shell as that.

Im jsut a little worried as once its made up I have to have it

I have a hampton - because all the high crown ones made me look like the village idiot. I probably don't look that much better in the Hampton TBH but at least my friend didn't burst out laughing when she saw me in it!
I got mine from Frogpool via mail order because nobody near me stocked it. Took a bit of a chance on it fitting given the price of it but luckily it fitted okay.

Charles Owen have told me to go and measure myself on the GR8 as its the same shell but jsut with a velvet on.

Was gonna say, the Hampton is the posher version of the GR8 which is probably the best hat I've ever owned.

If it helps or you've had a CO skull before, I'm the same size in my GR8 as I am in my skullcap
