Nothing so dramatic from my boy, but he did tread on a mouse once while I was long-reining him. The grass was quite thick and I guess it couldn't get away in time 
There was a short damp squeak and then a moment later I walked past a sad little corpse. I still feel bad about it, not that there was anything I could have done...
