Has anyone done the Charlton Abbots Fun Ride???

Thinking of taking my 6 year old for his first fun ride... neither of us have done one before and I just wondered if it got manic!

I live in Charlton Abbotts!!

It's a lovely ride, and if you'd like company I think I'll be going and doing the half ride with my old boy and a friend.

I am SO spoilt to get to ride round the estate every day... it's well worth a trip. If you would rather do the route without loads of other horses there, or want someone to nanny him, I'm happy to help! You're welcome to come unbox at my house and hack up with my boy and I so he's already got a friend when he gets there... or come one day next week and ride the route with just my lad!

PM me if you're interested...but it's definitely worth a go, and I've been teaching at the Cotswold RDA for years and they're LOVELY....tis a worthy cause!

When is it and where is it starting from (last time I went it was just off the cross roads on Corndean Lane - still there?)

I have been before, but was a few years ago. Would love to come but the clutch is slipping on my Disco so might not be allowed out.

We're not going now, hacking partner is on box rest and mine's not really done a lot this past week so leaving it this year

Hopefully next year he'll decide that being seven years old he'll suddenly mature. Hopefully!
