Charlton Park last one this year

According to BDWP Charlton Park will be no more after this year. How sad is that as it is a wonderful event and one I will be very sad to see go from the calendar.

'This is the tenth and last running of the Event so the Intermediate has had to be cancelled.'

All lovely parkland events. Very sad. I really hope we can keep parkland events as they are the reason I event. I understand they must cost more but they are worth a premium and I would pay an extra tenner to go round one. Better than multiple events on permanent sites which never have the atmosphere.

I think it is to do with money making! They held WOMAD there a few weeks back and made so much money I think they are thinking that sort of thing is a better option.

Thats very sad, it is a 'Proper' event. If they weren't making money running it, no one is.
