Had a really good day and finished on my dressage score so absolutely delighted.
I came 10th in my section and was so pleased finally all the hard work with SJ is paying off and now he can canter its all becoming a lot easier for him. Dressage of 38 which is ok but will be a winter project as I know he has a lot more to give. Clear SJ over a up to height course and clear xc. It tipped with rain and I got soaked and the ground really cut up.
I feel my record has been pretty crap this year and a lot of 20s xc have been unlucky - to be fair to him he has not stopped at all but has either been green hesitating at water/ditches or at combinations which comes back to his rubbish canter and a lack of steering. Hope the final two events are as good as it finally all seems to be coming together.
I saw Cheeky Girl and said hello just as she was off to xc. Fingers crossed everything went well for her.

well done!! know exactly what u mean with the cantering and sj issues, and how much canter work helps wth the sj,..well done its fab to finish on your dressag score!

Well done for finishing on dressage score... I did feel for anyone competing today when that rain tipped down.

I hope the ground isn't too badly churned up as I've planned to go & spectate tomorrow. I'm planning on packing plenty of waterproofs!

It seemed ok for cars as all proper roads to get in and plenty of parking by the dressage but a lot of lorries were being pulled off the grass.

Big well done, glad it a came together finally!!
Heard its getting a bit soggy down there, we have the boys tomorrow so had better take my wellies

I love charlton park - ist one of my favourites, Sjing is always upto height there and the course is big bold and attacking!

Bath and West next week - maybe a bit of an HHO catch up? Twiggy is there. Then on to Aldon. I think I do have a CD player - BBs will you be picking it up on way to MDM as I am not there till Fri and guessing you are there on Wed? I live just off M5 at junction 22. MDM your PMs were full!

The novice looked nice really inviting. The ground was really soft I was able to wear super fat studs which worked well. A lot of people were skidding into the practice fence so I only jumped it twice. I heard the weather is supposed to be worse tomorrow? The dressage arenas were well churned up can not imagine them moving them though as lack of space.

well done - the SJes round here had better watch out this winter!! Adrian House always builds up to height and the XC there isn't an easy one - so well done.

Cath is there tomorrow with Spot in the Novice (you can't miss him) and Floyd in the Intermediate - I'm not going as it's my wedding aniversary so I better play at being a good wife!

Great result, I hope you got a rosette!
We are so looking forward to next year's events, hopefully Jonty will be back competing although we will never run her on deep going again. and Layla should be ready to start Intros by spring.
I have missed talking to everyone at the local ones, hopefully we will bump into each other lots next year.
Well done, you deserve that placing.

Well done it's great when all the hard work pays off. That's a high standard PN and a placing is brillant. Fingers crossed a similiar result at B&W and Aldon
