I was just wondering if anyone has been to chase farm xc schooling in surrey.
Their website says it's open, so it seems to be one of the few xc places available to school at the mo and I was thinking of going.
Does it have good range of jumps?

I have been, but not for ages, don't know what height fences you require, but I can remember a fair selection from 2'3" ish up to maybe 3', & a water complex. It's not like Tweseldown, just round a couple of fields, but we had a nice time till a cow stuck her head through the hedge & my pony stopped in horror, & I fell off in a ditch!!!

Ohh dear, hope you were ok!
I'm jumping about 2ft9/3ft, on the website it says they have jumps up to 3ft3
I would go to tweseldown but I have major problems with it! My horse always goes awfully there, I think it's me that causes it because I've had bad experiences there.

I've replied to you on NL too, I find Tweseldown quite scary too. I'd have a wander up to Chase Farm if I were you, as I said it's ages since I went, & I was jumping the little stuff, but I do remember some bigger things, because the girl I was with was whizzing about jumping them, & I don't think its very expensive.

ok cool because i don't really mind if it's not too technical or scary or whatver.
It's just that I'm preparing for munstead ode in march, and that's a pretty simple xc course so i don't feel the need to overphase myself when schooling.

I have been there a few times, not for 3 yrs tho..
very good course for schooling novice/young horses.. lots of little fences to practice over, don't think they have a water tho..

Yes a good range,

Steps
Tyres
Tiger trap
Ditches
In and outs
bank
palisade
jump lane
water to jump over but not go through
zig zag scary thing for accuracy
chair
brushes
telegraph poles
sherifs jump with a jail on one side and something else otherside
railway sleepers
jumps through the woods which i didnt do as didnt trust breaks.... also when jumping the palisade into said woods, we nearly landed on a deer!!!!

Good basic jumps and you can hire the show jumps too
