I have chaskit turnout rugs for my boys and want to buy a neck cover for them but can't find them anywhere. I had to order the rugs from a local saddler who has now closed down so anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The company that make them sold out to a Canadian firm i believe. You can buy them, but have to pay to import them

I wanted one as my friend has some which are fab, but it would be sooooo expensive to get them sent over.

I had our rug mender copy mine - probably highly illegal but they are ace and have lasted nearly ten years so I wanted to get one for new horse. I was gutted when I couldn't get one.

I have a couple of Chaskit rugs and in fact Motor is wearing one tonight

Sian Saddlery used to sell Chaskit look alikes over 15 years ago, but not sure if they do now

. I have found this address and telephone number, but cannot find a website, so they may have gone out of business

BTW ... I have always wondered how you are supposed to do the leg straps up on the Spider thingy .... are you supposed to cross them or not

... I am sure you will be able to put me right, after 17 years of being an owner of 2 of them, I have never been sure

Sorry to bring this back up - just used one of these rugs for the first time today. It still had the instructions pinned on it, so I can advise that crossing the leg straps over is optional
