Chatsworth Cancelled!

Completely agree to safety first but I love Chatsworth weekend

Quite a shock. We are usually boggier than Chatsworth and our ground is ok. But equally we’re not going to have hundreds of vehicles and people/horses on it.

I walkled Chatsworth on March 17th and posted back then that I thought they would have trouble getting the ground prepared in time, and of course we had a lot more rain between then and now. They did so well to have it ready but the water table is still so high that the latest deluge couldn't be absorbed, I guess.

So sad, it was my favourite event to ride at and to visit.

I’d have thought it would have been cancelled until the middle of April - Badminton too. I didn’t but tickets to either because of that. But our boggy corners have massively dried out over the last three weeks.

Poor things. I feel so bad for them. They’ve done so much work, and everything is flagged and ready.

Such a shame for everyone. I was going with my Mum on Saturday so naturally disappointed.
