I posted a couple of months ago about the new chavvy neighbours and their stallion, which got out and terrified our other neighbours gelding, chasing him and biting him. Well the good news is that last Thursday they had him gelded and we should all be able to breath a bit more easily this spring!

Good news! - i wondered what happened - thought they might have sold him - but gelding him is better than nothing x

Hiya YorksG, just wondering whereabouts you are based as a similar incident happended near me recently, just wondered if it was same one!

It happened at our yard also. The neighbours young stallion got in with a couple of mares. I found him in the field trying to rape the poor old palamino who is 23 years old!! Luckily he didn't quite suceed. We rang the owners who turned up and I refused to help being that I was 7 months pregnant. But I watched with great hilarity as they litteraly RAN around the field to try and catch a randy young stallion with his bits flailing about!!! I did say straight way that they should bring in the mares and put them in the stables and then thay might stand a chance of chatching him but they didn't take my advice untill they'd ran about for 20min! They then did what I had suggested and then caught him straight away.

Selling would have been the best option for the animal, 'cos I doubt that he is going to have much of a life with them, as they still know nothing and don't seem to realise that they are ignorant.

No not particularly, and they are deffinately not stallion keeping material! The animals is ok, they say they brought him from Belgium, he does appear to be fresian, but nothing that wonderful, and not well kept.
