Hi All.
I've recently been on the horsebox hunt and came accross some iffy looking adverts on Friday just gone, on a very well known advertising space. They were some lovely looking box's on 56/58 plates, however the price reflecting them was interesting. Although i would love to pay between 3500 - 5000 for a box of this age, condition etc as many of you would too, it sadley does seem too good to be true.
I gave some advertisers some benefit of the doubt though and attempted contact. All phone numbers provided were hidden numbers, so went via the websites 070 service (costing me between 12.5 and 37p a minute, with a minimum connection charge). Fair play to the site, that is all above board and they display their costs clearly. The numbers we dialed, in regards to 4 boxes available at a "good" price did not pick up whatsoever. Tried a few, a few times then gave it up as a bad job. Sent emails to the sellers through the website and left it be.
We tried one of the numbers again, on saturday morning and a lady answered. She said she didn't have a horsebox for sale, but wish's she did as could have sold it 12 times over. She got that annoyed with the calls on friday night she actually unplugged her phone.
Well, I completely forgotten all about it, well until my BT bill comes in, until this morning when this email came through.
Hi, I still got it and all I can say is that this is a marvelous van.
This van has a full service history and all documentation is present and in my name. It has been stored in undercover storage from new so the exterior is perfect very low miles. The final price is not negotiable: £3930. My husband died 2 months ago and I was left with it but I don`t even have a drivers license. If you agree I can send you the link to my private auction on eBay so you can buy it from there since I all ready had a buyer last week who came up with some fake notes. I don`t really trust someone else to come around my house. Please note that you will be able to check directly on ebay the registration and all the information about it because they did a HPI check(it does not have any outstanding finance). As soon as you will confirm the payment to eBay, I will proceed with the delivery without any additional costs for you. You will receive the van with all the documents. As you know eBay is the best company of online transactions. If you are indeed interested in buying it and have the funds, I will list it on eBay, as I have a 100% positive feedback with them.
Please let me know your decision.
Thank you
I understand I have rattled on for a while, and I appologise. I was wondering whether anyone else had any of these experiences of "Over cheap" box's for sale?
