Cheap (ish) Dubarry alternative?

I desperately need a new set of boots, and I love the Dubarry style, though I'm not overly keen on spending £300 on them!

Anyone know of any good alternatives that aren't going to break the bank?
 
Dublin river boots are my favourite. I need a new pair this year as mine have finally disintegrated (after 5 years). Still not the cheapest but a lot less than Dubarry
 
Toggi!!!

i have there version and they have done me 2 years (will be going in for there first re-sole next week as toe is starting to come away but i do drag my feet)

lovely and warm and come in wide leg if you need it :)
 
I've got Dubarrys, Ariat Grassmeres and Toggi Canyons. The Dubarrys are miles ahead of them all. I defo wouldn't get toggi's again, I will try river boots next time, I wear them for work.
 
I have a pair of mountain company boots. By far the most comfortable ones I've ever tried and I tried many many many boots.

Yep....love mine,brought another pair this year and still kept my first pair.....best boots I have brought.
Have brought some Toggi's last week but not worn yet.....just some more to add to the boot collection that is slowly growing in my garage...Erm!
 
I have Ariat Grasmeres and love them, but I don't wear them around the yard much. They were about £200 on sale a few years ago.

I also have a pair of Sherwood Forest country boots, they look like Dublin Rivers, they were about £70 and they must be coming up on 8 years old. They're still waterproof and very comfy, despite being well used and abused! I wear them at the yard instead of wellies in the summer but they still smarten up enough to wear with jeans.

ETA - the forum autocorrected "wellies" to "willies". Bad forum!
 
ARIATS!!! My Dubarrys died (the sole split on the side so now not waterproof) after just 13 months and they wouldn't do anything about it and for 1/2 of the price of them I got some Ariats instead and haven't looked back as they are SOOOOO comfortable.........
 
Cabbotswood, happened to speak to the company owner, they have changed their manufacturing and apparently quality is much improved over previous (no longer asian made). Got a pair and so far totally waterproof and very comfy.
 
I recently bought a pair of Chiruca boots. They have the Gore-tex liners, like Dubarrys, but were a shade under £200. I have never spent so much on a pair of boots, so they'd better last! They are currently being subjected to a lot of abuse, from daily mud baths and hosing off - all good so far.

Only downside was they took a while to break in, but I have wide feet so it might just be me.
 
The leather boots I got from Equestrian Cleaarnce for about £50.00, so long ago I forget how much, have lasted me three years on the yard and working, they looked pretty good until I managed to get saddle cleaner on the suede, this was my one and only attempt at cleaning them, though I have some waterproofing stuff I spray on when I first get boots.
They are comfy and top quality. I think they will last another two years.
I don't ever hose them, leather does not like water.
Pity I did not buy two pairs, they are no longer available
