Cheap (ish) Hunters

Is anyone at all looking for a hunter at the moment? I just seem to have idiots coming to try mine!! You would think at the beginning of the season people would be searching high and low for a good one.

I am reluctantly going to reduce price to £5k just so I can sell him which is quite a painful thought seeing as he was bought for more than that!!!

You will prob find that once the season has started properly there will be more interest. I have an old boy who I don't know yet if he will be up to another season, however no way would I buy another until I know.

Tell me about it. Market is utterly dire at the moment. We have two big lads for sale, though haven't really advertised them properly yet in all fairness.

Best bet go through your hunt and word of mouth.
Get them out cubbing and seen
Should have taken the sale offers seriously on our novice last year when I took him out! Didn't really think about selling him then though so were dimissed lol! Typical.

I have one for sale too only 3750, no calls yet but he is hound exercising/Autumn hunting so hopefully word of mouth.

She is £6000 - do you think £5000k is a "cheap" hunter????

It is pretty cheap in the area I hunt in especially for a smart horse that will hunt all day twice a week no worries. I agree though - the only cheap horses are free ones!!

I think good stuff is selling Ive just sold a hunter, that I had never hunted, had it 3 weeks and sold it to 2nd people that came to try it and made a good profit on it.
Isnt any one in your hunt interested in it?

We've got a huntsman coming to try him today and I've said if they like him, they can take him home and try him out with hounds.

Also got an amateur whip wanting to try him and another huntsman so fingers crossed!

Would be so nice to actually sell him and wake up and know I've only got 2 to look after and feed.

Was supposed to be going cubbing tomorrow but pony has got a cracked heel which I think he came to me with and I didn't pay much attention to until it got very wet this week and its cracked further so I'm on quad bike instead. Gutted seeing as I could have gone tomorrow and Monday!!
