Wait for the sales in January if you can as there are often bargains to be found. I have had 2 pairs of long leather boots in the sales - one pair was £75 instead of £300 and the other pair were Ariats reduced to £100 from £300 and something.
my darling hubby bought me some LOVELY boots the other day. he paid about £100 for them... but then i found them on equestrian clearance and ebay for £59...
and they are LOVELY...
um, they are dublin something... *tries to find where he's hidden the box*
dublin valley tall boots. in brown. they fit well, and are light and comfy. i find them MUCH more comfy than mountain horses.
I have the saxons as well and they are really good for winter stuff as they keep my feet warm and can literally be hosed off - none of this polishing leather malarky needed
Saxon do a good cheap long boot for under 50. Ive got a pair that lace up the front and zip up the back, the normal ones are horrible (non lace up front) but I wear mine for competitions and you would never know. Your saddler can order them for you no problems.
