Hey everyone, just wondering where you all get your horse feed and bedding from in Preston? I currently go to Croston Corn Mill and its soooooo expensive...does anyone know of anywhere that isn't such a rip off?? Thanks...

I go to Croston - don't find them much more expensive than anywhere else. I use Oakfield too but prices are about the same and they don't stock anything like as big a range. There's also Bamford's at Midge Hall, haven't been there in ages so couldn't comment on prices. And Fearn's Farm at Rufford is a good place but probably no cheaper on prices. Further afield there are two feed places directly opposite each other at Rising Bridge (nr Haslingden) - as they are in direct competition with each other their prices tend to be a bit lower. They're about a twenty minute drive from south Preston.

Thanks very much everyone, I have just been told by a friend of a new business called gallop girl which i think is based in preston that delivers for free and is cheaper than oakfield and croston...
I think croston is a little over priced compared to other places, tried KCS too and they weren't much better!
I have placed an order in with this new company as they deliver it for you. I have the number for them if anybody wants it. Ill let you know how i get on with them, thanks again.

I dont find croston overpriced, but if you go into euxton there is a shop called Town & Country who stock lots of stuff, will order in and are all reasonably priced.

Well i received my order today, and was very impressed.
The lady called Chelsea was very helpful and ill definately be using them again.
I have the infomation here, its Gallop Girl Equestrian, they are based in Penwortham but deliver to preston and chorley area for free...the list i have here says she does all the major brands of feed! Theres spiller, baileys, dengie, frickers, and loads more! The bedding is nedz bed, easibed, thoroughbred shavings, minimal dust, duo bed and a few more!!
There is a minimum order of 15 bales for the free delivery but its well worth it as its cheaper!
If you want anymore information just PM me... i will definately be using Chelsea again!!!
I also called town and country store this afternoon to check the prices after i had my delivery and she is cheaper than there too.
Thanks for all your replies...but looks like im sorted...
