cheap saddles?-there is a reason

Hey all

well fingers crossed im getting a 15.1hh irish sports horse on loan as current horse going back.

This horse is known to have a few issues so.im.having him on a one month trial then lwvtb which suits me perfectly :)
Problem.is he doesnt come with his saddle as its a wow saddle so worth more than he is atm.
But i dont want to go out nd buy a saddle for him if we dont get on.in trial. Lady going to try and old saddle she had on him but if it doesnt fit any ideas what i can do?

Need to somehow find and fit a saddle very cheaply just for trial
period.. Once into the loan hel get a saddle bought etc.
 
Ebay, you can get things like thorowgood for under a hundred quid, second hand of course.
They are decent enough being English made and won't cost you a lot.

Get one of their flexi curves to work out what size x
 
You could buy a treeless? If you buy a reputable make resale values are good.

Using the same theory as balance saddles do you could get one that you know would be too wide and pad it up to fit.

See what ebay have. They often have saddles with adjustable gullets for not too much.

Is the wow for sale with the horse? If not now is the time to make friends with your local saddler and see what they have second hand that you could trade in for something more permenant when the time comes :confused:
