Where can I find dirt cheap show jackets?!?

Have a nice blue one and a tweed one for comps.

But want a black one for hunting, have a nice thick tweed one with pockets, but everyone had black on on Sat!

Should it be black? or does it not matter......

I think I am correct in saying that for cubbing everyone should wear tweed and after the opening meet it is black or navy for the ladies, black for gents unless they have the right to wear red.

Personally I prefer navy especially with cream/champagne coloured breeches to match a plain silk stock.

Not sure what sizes they come in, but usually an 8-10 so spose a 12 in a show jacket?!

I've just sold a lovely navy wool hunting jacket size 10/12 on ebay for £24.00 + postage... I prefer black but I see ladies hunting in both colours so not really sure what is 'correct'.

I brought my black wool hunting jacket second hand from my local tack shop for £30.00 and I love it. The good quality ones will last ages so it is worth buying them second hand.

There are tons on Ebay if you look under Hunting Coats. Ideally you want a size bigger than you usually wear so you can put tons of layers on underneath for hunting when its really cold.

I have a Dublin or Shires one which was about £40 this summer. Naf thin material but looks great on, cut nicely and ideal for falling off in

It comes in black or navy. You'd want layers under for hunting though, nowhere near as warm as a nice wool jacket!
