I usually use an old pair of ski trousers and a ski jacket for doing the horses when the weather's bad. I need to replace these this year, so any ideas? I saw some in Primark, but were still £40 jacket, £28 trousers, and I'm sure I've seen cheaper, they will only last one winter with the hammering they get, so don't want anything fancy. I'm sure last year I paid £10 - £15 for trousers. Any ideas folks?
Ta!

Look out for the campri thermal tops - really cheap but SO effective, theyre the best i have ever found and ive tried quite a few!!

They are fab, OH gets his gym stuff from them. Lastest lot was 4 t shirts, a pair of jogging bottoms and a fleece for £25 inc delivery!

Decathlon are also quite good if you get their own brand stuff (jodhs too, mush better then others in the same price range ;) ).

No good now obviously, but I pick up all my sallopets at the beginning of spring/ summer when shops are getting new stock in. My new pair where from last year and cost £10, but are not as good as the pair before which where £15. The only disadvantage is that if you put on weight (as I have done!!!) when you eventually put them on the poppers don't say popped up!

I got a snowboarding suit from Lidl a couple of years ago - it cost me £35 - bright pink so excellent high viz too! It's very warm and snug and the medium sized jacket (I'm about a small size 12) fits over a t-shirt, long sleeved t-shirt and two woolly jumpers. Also, the coat has good pockets and it's all pretty waterproof too I think (I only use it when it's really cold rather than raining when I opt for waterproof stuff instead if you see what I mean)

I got a ski jacket last year off eBay for about £20.. Was cheap as "last seasons colours" (it's grey!!?) anyway, was one of my best buys last year and have just dug it out to start using this year too!
