can the hive mind recommend somewhere online to pick up cheap (seriously, I mean it. £2per rug) LW and MW stable rugs 7ft

I look on Facebook and it’s such a hassle actually going to pay or pick them up, I’d rather suffer the pain of coughing up for a new one.

thanks in advance

Did you mean £20 per rug?

I dont think you will find many for £2..

Shires 7ft 200g for £30 -

Plus EDT generally quite good for bargains. Link below is £24 for 100g or £25 for 200g.

Both links above available in 7ft, but I'm sure if you browse there'll be others. HVS is generally the first place I'd look but it's worth a search on different sites - now is a great time to rug shop in the sales! Probably not much for £2 ;) but £20-30 should be enough to get you a brand new one.

Yesterday, in our local Aldi, I bought a 6ft 200g stable rug for £10!

i think they had been clearing out their stockrooms.

Have a look on Maxima Equestrian - they have 100g stable/under rugs and have 20% off at the moment so should be around £24 with free delivery. You have to use the code MAXJAN to get the discount.

You should do well in rug sales because there are a limited number of horses that take a 7'0" rug. Unfortunately my horses are 6'03" & 6'06" & these are rarely in the sales as they're the most popular sizes

The Gallop rugs I bought were much too tight around the shoulders for my tb, he was a chunkier type of tb but not a big horse. They were better on my other tb who is a finer type but not exactly generous. I sold them because they leaked but not relevant for a stable rug.

Managed to get a shires 200g for £29 from Hope valley and a 100g for £23 from maxima equestrian.

I’d rather have new and delivered for same price as what’s going second hand and needs washed and repaired to be honest ...
As wasteful as that is :(
