I am currently marking out a 40x20 arena within our school using poles. Does anyone have any suggestions for an alternative that is taller, and more similar in appearance to dressage boards, but still light to move? I've been looking in Wickes for building materials but can't find anything suitable! Any ideas welcome.

White guttering.

We used 4 shorter pieces for the corners and a long piece each side. Doesn't matter if the horse stands on it, it pops straight back up. Not taller but ;).

I also use white guttering, either the half-round or the square type - both work well. Or you could try the white "shelving" type of covered wood, but doubt it would last for very long in wet weather without coming apart.

You can also get a collection of white garden edging but more expensive than guttering obviously!

If you want taller white uPVC fascia boards and U-shaped pegs would do it ;).
